A Retrospective / Rétrospective
It
has been 25 years since our last visit to St. John's, Newfoundland.
Since then much has changed in the world. The burgeoning world of
information technology has allowed for the movement of information
and individuals at a rate which we could not have anticipated. The
immense transformation of how we communicate with one another and
how we view the world has had an impact on every facet of our
lives.
As
we move on to address further developments within the realm of
international education, we offer you a peek at the issues
discussed in the very same location of our 2008 conference, 25
years ago. Moving forward, we must ask ourselves the
question,
"Have the
issues presented at CBIE's 1983
conference been marginalized or have they intensified due to the
growing nature of our global community?"

Notre dernier
séjour à St. John's, Terre Neuve, remonte à 1983. Le monde a bien
changé depuis. La croissance vertigineuse de l'informatique a
